Your activity: titles you like, dislike, or save.

Information collected automatically

Device information: device model, operating system, and app version.
Push notification token: an identifier that lets us send notifications to your device.
Usage information: how you use the app, such as the screens and features you open.

Permissions

Photos/camera: only if you choose to set a profile picture. We do not access your photos otherwise.
Notifications: only to send you updates. You can turn this off in your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

create and manage your account and verify your identity;
personalise your movie and book recommendations;
save your likes, saved items, and suggestions;
send notifications such as new picks and the Movie of the Week;

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

With service providers who help us run the Service, such as hosting, email delivery for OTP codes, and push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
To comply with the law, respond to legal requests, or protect our rights, users, or the safety of others.
In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale, in which case we will tell you about any change.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information as described in Section 6. We may keep limited information where the law requires it, or where it is needed to prevent fraud or resolve disputes.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Open Profile → Delete Account and confirm your choice.

When you delete your account, we permanently delete the personal information linked to it. This includes your profile details, likes, saved items, movie suggestions, feedback, and notification data. This action cannot be undone.
